Protector Level 2 is the course that closes that gap. Built for concealed carry holders and anyone serious about real-world defensive preparedness, this is the most intense and comprehensive course in the Suburban Protector curriculum. Held exclusively at our private outdoor range in Okeechobee, Florida — where we have the space, safety infrastructure, and freedom to run scenarios that no indoor range in South Florida can replicate — Level 2 puts you in motion, under pressure, and in real scenarios from the first drill to the last.
What You'll Learn in Protector Level 2
Drawing from a Holster (Open and Concealed): Learn the proper techniques for safely and quickly drawing your firearm from both open and concealed carry positions. Practice smooth, efficient draws to improve response time in high-stress situations.
Defensive Shooting Under Stress and While Moving: Master the critical skill of shooting while moving, simulating real-life situations where threats are dynamic. Build your ability to engage targets under pressure, maintaining accuracy and control.
Engaging Multiple Targets with Cover & Concealment: Learn to use cover and concealment to protect yourself while engaging multiple threats. Develop tactical shooting techniques to maximize safety and effectiveness in a conflict.
Tactical Reloads & Malfunction Clearing: Sharpen your reloading skills, learning how to perform tactical reloads efficiently and clear malfunctions under pressure key skills for staying in control during a defensive situation.
Threat Recognition & Shoot/No-Shoot Decision-Making: Improve your threat recognition and learn to make critical shoot/no-shoot decisions based on real-world scenarios. This vital skill helps ensure that you make the right call when lives are on the line.
Close-Quarters Tactics & One-Handed Shooting: Learn effective close-quarters combat techniques and practice one-handed shooting, preparing you for situations where you might need to defend yourself at close range.
Scenario-Based Training: Engage in realistic scenario-based training including situations like home invasion, carjacking, and other high-risk encounters. These scenarios help you practice decision-making, movement, and shooting in an immersive, controlled environment.
Real-World Application: This course focuses on applying defensive shooting skills in high-pressure, real-world scenarios, preparing you for what could happen in a self-defense situation.

Protector Level 2 is for concealed carry holders across South Florida who are serious about being genuinely prepared — not just legally permitted. Note: students must bring their own holster, magazines, and carry gear. This is an equipment-intensive course by design.

Reserve your place in the next Level 2 session at our Okeechobee range. Review the gear list — you'll need a holster, at least three magazines, and a mag carrier. Need a firearm? Rent one for $50, but make sure your holster is compatible.
Train Hard at Our Private Range
This session will push you. Your heart rate will be elevated. You will make mistakes. That is the entire point — because the mistakes you make here are ones you won't make when it counts. Your NRA-certified instructor will push you, correct you, and push you again.
Leave Ready to Carry in the Real World
Completing Level 2 means you have trained in the scenarios that are most likely to matter. You will also receive instructor sign-off for your Florida CCW permit application if you haven't already obtained it.
