Most people in South Florida are prepared to call 911. Very few are prepared to keep someone alive until help arrives. In a shooting, a serious accident, or any traumatic injury, uncontrolled bleeding is the number one preventable cause of death. The average emergency response time in Palm Beach County and Broward County is several minutes — and in a severe bleeding emergency, a person can lose a fatal amount of blood in under three minutes. That gap between the injury and the ambulance is where lives are saved or lost. And right now, most people have no idea what to do in it.
Stop the Bleed is a nationally recognized, evidence-based program designed to teach everyday people — not just medical professionals — the three critical skills that stop life-threatening bleeding: applying direct pressure, packing a wound, and applying a tourniquet. At Suburban Protector, we deliver this training hands-on in Palm Beach County and South Florida, pairing it with the same real-world philosophy that drives all of our firearms training. This course is for everyone. Parents. Teachers. Church staff and security teams. Business owners. Concealed carry holders. Anyone who works in a public-facing environment in South Florida. You do not need any prior medical training or firearms experience to attend. If you carry a firearm for self-defense in Palm Beach County or Broward County, this course is the natural companion to everything else you train for — because a defensive encounter doesn’t end when the shooting stops.
